- Campaign Leadership: Lead communications and public engagement for partner organizations CECOME and Manga HEART, designing and coordinating advocacy campaigns on Ending Violence Against Women and Girls with a key focus on Female Genital Mutilation prevention, Intimate Partner Violence prevention, ending child marriage, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, care reforms, educational support, livelihood promotion and enterprise development. Achieve over 60% increase in public awareness across Kisii and Nyamira counties.
- Strategic Communication Design: Design and execute communication strategies for six funded projects, ensuring 100% alignment with advocacy goals and donor visibility guidelines while amplifying project milestones and community impact.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Map stakeholder interests and emerging narratives, identifying collaboration opportunities that strengthened partnerships and supported advocacy objectives. Coordinate 20+ high visibility media engagements (TV interviews, radio talk shows, Facebook Live) directly connecting duty bearers with community members to promote policy dialogue.
- Policy Advocacy: Co-developed policy briefs on ending GBV with a focus on FGM prevention and male engagement as allies, which are being used to drive legislative discussions, inform county action plans and strengthen community level advocacy frameworks. Some of these briefs were instrumental in the drafting of the Gender Mainstreaming Policy, currently pending gazettement, positioning the organization as a key contributor to systemic change.
- Content Production: Manage end to end content production from conceptualization, scripting, filming, editing, graphic design, livestreams, photography and dissemination across digital platforms. Oversee 12+ social media channels, achieving a sustained 15% quarter on quarter engagement growth.
- Ethical Storytelling: Draft, edit and produce survivor stories highlighting struggles and progress, applying informed consent, dignity, confidentiality, safeguarding and do-no-harm principles. Featured in the Red Nose Campaign as a storyteller on life without FGM, a narrative now used internationally for fundraising and advocacy.
- Capacity Building: Facilitate annual workshops for 30+ journalists and influencers per partner organization, equipping them with gender sensitive reporting skills to amplify project milestones and community voices.
- Monitoring and Evaluation Collaboration: Partner with Monitoring and Evaluation teams to define indicators measuring reach, engagement and behavior change. Conduct communication needs assessments with 500+ community beneficiaries, translating stories and feedback into proposals and presentations that enhance donor appeal and refined messaging.
- Advocacy Tools and IEC Materials: Design and implement advocacy tools, manuals and TORs for digital campaigns. Develop IEC materials using narrative power and vernacular indexing, shaping perceptions and actions through relatable local language, visuals and infographics. Ensure accessibility for persons with disabilities via voiceovers, ALT text, transcripts, subtitles and screen-reader friendly layouts.
- Budget and Resource Management: Set and monitor communications budgets, manage supplier relationships, negotiate renewals and ensure timely delivery of outputs. Deliver value for money and efficient resource use across campaigns and publications.
- Publications and Reporting: Lead the development and production of annual reports and publications for both partner organizations. Directed strategic communication initiatives for 30 grantee groups under the EU-funded Financial Support to Third Parties program, coordinating messaging and visibility across three cohorts to amplify impact and stakeholder engagement.
